Project Description
Cinema Impero is a building originally constructed in the third decade of the 20th century. Abandoned since the 1950s, it is currently in a state of severe deterioration and partial collapse. Commissioned by a public entity, the project aims to obtain the building permit and involves the renovation of the existing structure alongside the design of a new above-ground floor. Adjacent to the building is the “ex inn,” dating back to the late 18th century, as well as numerous intrusive additions that have compromised the site’s integrity. The intervention also includes the restoration of the aforementioned inn and the demolition of the detrimental superstructures.
